Why should you attend?
The 2020 AHNS Course in Transoral Endoscopic Head and Neck Surgery is designed to provide a focused educational experience in transoral endoscopic techniques for resecting primary head and neck tumors. The course has been designed to appeal to a broad audience including give Otolaryngologists—Head and Neck Surgeons, Radiation Oncologists, Medical Oncologists, Speech Language Pathologists, and other multidisciplinary colleagues. The objective is to cover basic techniques for surgeons but also increase understanding of the role of minimally invasive surgery within the multidisciplinary treatment paradigm.
An international Faculty present the state-of-the-art across techniques using the transoral laser microsurgery, Medrobotics and DaVinci transoral robotic surgery. Pre-operative decision-making, fundamental skills are reviewed, but three interactive panel discussions address current controversies and ongoing research.
This all-day course on Saturday July 18, 2020, is divided into a didactic morning session at the Chicago Hyatt Regency, followed by a hands-on cadaveric dissection course with both DaVinci and Medrobotic Systems in the afternoon at the Surgical Skills Laboratory, University of Illinois – Chicago.
